Online Event in Benefit of Asociatia Curtea Veche - April 2021

Our event on April 10th benefited Curtea Veche Association by raising money and awareness for children literacy in Romania. For more information visit https://www.asociatiacurteaveche.ro/en/about-us/.

The event showed the history of the Romanian Royal House and the significance books had in its journey, through the presentation of a collection of history books for children and a dialogue between one of the authors and HRH Radu of Romania.

All proceeds from the event go directly to book donations for children.

A once-in-a lifetime charity concert in New York City, A beloved icon that transcends generations.

The fundraising event supports ‘Curtea Veche Association’ and it’s program ‘Classics Retold’. Its mission is to promote reading for young children and combat illiteracy in the most remote villages of Romania, where books and reading are an unattainable luxury.

$2 guarantees 1 new child will be included in the ‘Classic Retold’ reading program and covers the cost of 1 book. $100 provides a new library with 50 books to a remote village school. $1000 allows volunteers to travel directly to remote locations, work directly with the schools and children on the implementation of the reading program.

In honor of funds a MARA room was built at the new Hospice in Bucharest, Romania.

An extraordinary evening of music and philanthropy, featuring world-renowned musicians: Violinist, Alexandu Tomescu; Pianist, Matei Varga and on viola, Jesus Rodolfo Rodrigues.

100% of event proceeds donated to the Hospices of Hope in Bucharest, Romania.

Hospices of Hope is the leading palliative care charity in South Eastern Europe, dedicated to improving the life of the terminally ill adults and children in Romania.

MARA SOCIETY and The Romanian Cultural Institute in NY in
collaboration with the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

A special evening dedicated to Romanian Cinema, with legendary director Andrei Şerban. A unique opportunity to glimpse into the world of a master and learn about his passions while experiencing his teaching method first hand.

Proceeds from both events will be donated to sponsor the talented young Romanian theater and film students attending the workshops of the next edition of the ‘The Andrei Serban Traveling Academy’.
